Liu & Cui Extension

The brief is called for a home extension to suit a young family of Four. The client brief includes a new large kitchen design to satisfy the wife and 2 new bedrooms with an identical size for the kids. We design the lightcourt/ sunroom to be located in between the new and the old building is to create a private and safe place for the kids to run around in the house safely while the mom can have maximum views to oversee the kids from kitchen. To resolve the basement flooding issue, A sunroom is proposed over the new decking and the external basement stairway to prevent rainwater flows into basement.
